Helping Hnutí Brontosaurus Protect Nature
Nature conservation, cultural heritage preservation and volunteering all have one thing in common: hands-on work that delivers tangible results. That is why we have decided to support Hnutí Brontosaurus, a Czech organisation that has been bringing together people who care about nature, historical landmarks and their local environment since 1974.
Across the Czech Republic, Hnutí Brontosaurus volunteers help maintain valuable meadows, plant trees, restore wetlands, look after bird nesting boxes and contribute to the restoration of historic buildings and castles.
Each year, more than 36,000 people take part in the organisation’s activities, with volunteers contributing approximately 130,000 hours of work. To make this possible, Hnutí Brontosaurus provides the necessary equipment, expert guidance, training and organisational support.
Remarkably, according to the organisation’s own figures, the value generated through volunteer work can be up to five times greater than the financial contributions received.
At ITS, we greatly appreciate those who dedicate their time and energy to caring for the world around us. We are pleased to support an organisation that gives children, young people and adults the opportunity to get actively involved and see the tangible results of their efforts.
